Rhonda Panirau

Rhonda is Ngati Kahu, from the east coast of Nga Puhi, Northland. She trained at the Manukau Polytechnic in Communications and Human Resources Development. Rhonda, her partner Leo, and their two sons Max and David, have lived in Kaiaua for four years. The family strongly supports local community and school initiatives. Rhonda recently established, and coaches, the Kaiaua Touch Rugby team. As well as having a keen interest in sport, particularly netball and softball, Rhonda has an interest in, and experience with permaculture gardening. At EcoQuest, Rhonda prepares the meals, keeps the pantry well stocked, and generally maintains a warm and friendly atmosphere in the wharekai (kitchen/dining rooms).
