Some students relish the opportunity to delve into New Zealand's maze of policy pathways and resource management legislation. The Resource Management Act (1991) is a guiding piece of legislation with far reaching consequences for use of natural resources, development and communities in New Zealand.
A number of students have documented the policy issues surrounding aquaculture in New Zealand. Other policy topics include waste management, mainland islands, and riparian management.
