The learning never stops
Living out one or two bags can be fabulous! (Get a system if you need a system)
Compromise must be had at all times (or at least, always available)
Even if nothing is ever meant to be, everything will always fall into place - though nothing turns out exactly how you plan, these are the surprises to look forward to!
RELAX and enjoy the ride
Spontaneity is a virtue. (so is patience)
Never focus too much on where you are going at least not so much that you forget to enjoy where you are.
It is always better to have and not need than need and not have - in the field.
It is a gift to hear the prehistoric cry of the kaka over and over again.
Be emotional.
