Bruce Wildblood-Crawford Lecturer, Research Associate, DRP supervisor
Bruce holds a Master of Environmental Education (honours) from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia (2003), and a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Dickinson College (1995), USA. Prior to joining EcoQuest in 1999, Bruce worked for three years as an educator for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. After 2 years as chief field leader at EcoQuest, Bruce commenced his Masters, graduating in 2003. Bruce is currently completing his PhD, Department of Geography, University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Bruce's research interests include: Nature-society relations (environmental politics, environmental justice, environmental history); environmental governance; education and sustainability; social theory; science studies. Bruce brings to EcoQuest extensive university level teaching experience, a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, wide-ranging experience in field based research and learning, as well as a commitment to theoretically informed empirical research.
While working on his Doctorate, Bruce contributes to EcoQuest programmes on a regular basis. He runs interactive workshops on environmental education, as well as scientific writing, and he supervises Directed Research Projects. Once his doctorate is complete, Bruce will re-join the EcoQuest team full-time.
